This program provides free access to the Caboolture Pool and Fitness Centre for clients of Reclink Member Agencies, under the guidance of their Support Worker.
This program is available from 1 September 2019 - 1 September 2020.
Mondays between 10am - 3pm (max 10 participants + their Support Workers)
Wednesdays between 10am - 3pm (max 10 participants + their Support Workers)
Fridays between 10am - 3pm (max 10 participants + their Support Workers)
Support workers must book their clients into the session in advance by calling the Centre (details below). When making the booking, you'll need to advise which date(s) you would like to book your client(s) into, and be sure to let them know that you are looking to book your client(s) in under Reclink's membership. You will be required to provide the first name of each client you plan to bring to the session, provide your name, and which agency you are from.
Participants using the gym for the first time must complete a Pre-Excercise Form (attached below) and bring it with them to the centre and participate in a gym induction. Please advise the Centre at the time of making the booking if your client needs to participate in a gym induction, and arrange to have your client participate in an induction before using the gym. These inductions are important to help Support Workers and their clients to understand how to safely use the equipment, discuss strategies to approach their health and fitness goals, and learn how to modify the use of equipment to suit a range of abilities..
Participants must wear suitable clothing (or swimwear if using the pool) and enclosed footwear at all times when in the gym. Participants MUST bring their own sweat towel when using the gym - note participants may be asked to leave by gym staff if seen using equipment without a towel.
When you and your client arrive at the Centre, advise the reception staff that you are signing in under Reclink's Membership. You will be asked to show your Reclink Membership card and sign in on arrival next to your booking.
Please note that while Support Workers are expected to support and encourage their clients while using the pool / gym equipment, however Support Workers are not entitled to workout / swim themselves under Reclink's Membership. If a support worker would like to swim or use the gym themselves, they will need to pay for this on arrival.
