From humble beginnings in 1993, the Community Cup – an Australian charity football match that pits musicians against the media – has now gone national, with games held in six big cities for the first time this year.
The cup raises money for Reclink Australia, a non-profit organisation that offers arts and sports programs to disadvantaged, isolated and vulnerable groups around the country. Luminaries of the match include Paul Kelly, Courtney Barnett, Tim Rogers, Penny Wong and Anthony Albanese – and in 2016, they aim to raise more than $250,000.

- Reclink Community Cup kicks off in Melbourne on 26 June, before matches in Adelaide (7 August), Sydney (14 August), Perth (28 August) and Brisbane (25 September). The Hobart match was held on 5 June.
