The Reclink Community Cup is a national charity fundraising event like no other, combining home grown music, Australian rules footy, family and picnic to create an iconic event across six capital cities in Australia.

Supported by radio, music, sport and arts sectors, the Reclink Community Cup brings together radio and media industry personalities to form the Megahertz football team and highly acclaimed musicians Paul Kelly, Tim Rogers and Tex Perkins who lead a star-studded line-up of top musicians to form the Rockdogs football team. Having commenced in Melbourne 23 years ago, the Reclink Community Cup is now a national annual event held in Hobart, Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide attracting over 23,000 spectators, tens of thousands of social media followers and supported by over 15 radio, print and TV media partners Australia-wide.

The Reclink Community Cup has established a strong community following which is evident from the outstanding support received from some of Australia’s best known celebrities and musicians including Lee Lin Chin, Rob Milsy Mills, Waleed Aly, Dan Sultan, Bob Murphy and Ross Wilson. In addition, the Reclink Community Cup enjoys the support of community leaders from across the political landscape including Hon Anthony Albanese MP, Hon Martin Foley MP, Hon Michael Danby MP, Senator Penny Wong, Senator Richard Di Natale, Victorian Premier Hon Dan Andrews MP, South Australian Premier Hon Jay Wetherill MP, South Australian Opposition Leader Hon Steven Marshall MP and Tasmanian Premier Hon Will Hodgman MP to name but a few.

Importantly, the event provides an opportunity for radio stations and local musicians to unite and support Reclink Australia to raise much needed funds to deliver sport, recreation and arts programs to disadvantaged Australians and make a huge difference to the lives of the most vulnerable people in our community.

The Reclink Community Cup was a National Finalist and State Winner in the Best Charity or Cause Related Event at the 2016 Australian Event Awards.
